Dorothy L. Dunn, age 92 of Uniontown went to be with her Lord and Savior and her beloved husband with her loving family at her side Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Hillside Manor PCH.
She was born February 21, 1925 in Jackson , Missouri ; daughter of the late Charles Vinyard and Mary Louise Stemel Vinyard. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Dunn;
brothers David Vinyard, George Vinyard, and Sam Vinyard and sisters , Daisy Stockman, Blanche Johnson, Elizabeth Looney, and Mary Huffman.
Dorothy attended Faith Assembly of God Uniontown, Pa. Her faith in Jesus Christ was very important to her and was a living testimony to her family and friends. She taught Sunday School for a number of
years, enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. She also enjoyed cross stitch, crossword puzzles, making brownies for her grandchildren, was an avid animal lover, an awesome cook, always available to lend a listening ear,
full of compasssion, enjoyed growing and drying her own flowers and making them into wreaths. Many of her family and friends have enjoyed her oil paintings throughout the years. She was a devoted homemaker,wife,
mother and grandmother. She will be missed but will be forever in our hearts.
Left to cherish Dorothy's memory are her sons Patrick Dunn and wife Catherine of Fairchance, Pa; David Dunn and wife Patti of Uniontown, Pa and Scott Dunn and wife
Michelle of Dunbar, Pa; daughter Susan Lucas and husband Gregory of Uniontown, Pa; grandchildren, Mary Coon & husband Anthony, Larry Dunn & wife Amanda, David Dunn & wife Sarah, Adam Dunn & wife Patrice,
Amy Rutter and husband John, Jeremy Lucas, Cari Kessler & husband Tommy, Jodi Victor & husband Del, Jenna Lucas, Lyndsey Lucas, Timothy Lucas, Matthew Lucas, Morgan Dunn, Connor Dunn, and Landon Dunn and thirteen
The family would also like like to extend gratitude to the caring staff at Hillside PCH and Via Quest Hospice staff who were incredible through the journey.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FEREGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA where family and friends
will be received on Friday, April 7th from 2 until 4 pm and 6 until 8 pm. Visitation will continue in the funeral home on Saturday , April 8th from 10 until 11 am followed by a service celebrating Dorothy's life at 11 am
with Rev. Jason Lamer officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Presbyterian Cemetery.
