Charles C. “Butch” Crozier, age 74, of Smithfield, PA passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Uniontown, PA, October 6, 1942 a son of the now late Charles Edward Crozier and Mary Vitez Crozier. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Crozier.
Butch was a 1960 graduate of Uniontown High School. He previously worked as a police officer for the City of Uniontown. He also worked for U.S. Steel as a security officer and was an original 911 dispatcher. Butch was a member of Keystone Fire Company, AMVETS Post #103, and Uniontown Elks BPO #370. He previously served with the 429th Engineers Army Reserve Unit. He enjoyed oldies music and playing cards with his friends and he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Left to cherish Butch’s memory are his wife, Sandra Babb Crozier of Smithfield, PA; daughters, Jennifer Grimplin and husband Tom of Vanderbilt, PA and Janice Higman and husband Mark of Republic, PA; brother Gary Crozier and wife Patti of Uniontown, PA; grandchildren, Maxx, Jonathan and Christopher; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 2 until 8 pm followed by a service celebrating Butch’s life at 8:00 pm with Rev. Peter Malik and Uniontown FIre Department co-officiating. Interment will be private.
