Jerry Duane  Azzardi
Passed: Wednesday August 9, 2017

On August 9, 2017 Jerry Duane Azzardi 68, of Brownfield, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was born October 22, 1948 in Springhill Township, Pennsylvania the son of the late Anthony and Leona Azzardi. Jerry is survived by nine siblings; Darrell McGee (Leola), Diane Latin (Joe), Stahlstown, PA, Mina Forsyth (Joe), Hopwood, PA, Anthony Azzardi (Flo), Bentleyville, PA, Joseph Azzardi (Darlene), Uniontown, PA, Robert Azzardi (Barb), Cleveland, Ohio, Shon Stotka (Ron), Uniontown, PA, Angela Galloway(Tim), Morgantown, WV, Jeffery Azzardi, Brownfield, PA and many nieces and nephews. Jerry graduated from Uniontown High School in 1969 and attended Dean Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, where he received a degree in Architectural drafting. Number 22 was a very proud member of the Red Raiders football team. He was very proud to be from the Pittsburgh area and followed all of the Pittsburgh teams very closely but it was obvious, like all Pittsburghers, his passion was the Steelers. Jerry lived and worked in the Pittsburgh area for many years and did spend several years in Cleveland working at NASA Glenn Research Center. Jerry’s favorite pass time beside sports was hanging out with his childhood friends and he always took pride in any friend or athlete from the area that was doing well. Jerry was funny, charming and a little ornery at times. He truly loved life until the very end. As his nieces would say “Uncle Jerry Schova, lova, lova lets go Steelers!!!!”. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. Please join family and friends in a memorial celebration of Jerry’s life on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Hutchinson Sportsman Club.
