Edward A. Krol
Passed: Thursday February 1, 2018

Edward A. Krol, age 90, of Uniontown, PA passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. He was born in Uniontown, PA on August 31, 1927 son of the late Andrew Krol and Stella Shurowsky Krol. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Matilda and George Molesy. Edward was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood; VFW Life Member and the Circle Club. He was a graduate of Uniontown High School. He served in the United States Army, training as an air plane pilot. He retired as an electrician from the B&O and Chessie Railroads. Left to cherish his memory is his sweetheart, Annabelle Dzurnak with whom he shared his life for over 22 years; nephew Andrew Molesy of Charlottesville, VA; niece Michelle Strcula and husband Roger of Ormond Beach, FL; great nephews Jeff Strcula (Crystal) and Kevin Strcula; great niece Rachael Strcula and great-great niece Ainsley Strcula. Also surviving are Annabelle’s sons, Mark and wife Anne of Morgantown, WV and David and wife Susan of Uniontown, PA; Annabelle’s grandchildren, Mary Vidovich (Justin), Allison Kotarsky (Bob), Lisa Dzurnak, Michael Dzurnak (Jillian) and Matthew Dzurnak; great grandson, Luka Kotarsky and Annabelle’s brother Al Jeffries (Nancy) and sister-in-law Benita Jeffries (the late Kenneth Jeffries). Ed loved to share his stories about his adventures of hunting, going fishing in Ocean City, working on the railroad and traveling with Annabelle. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 2 until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 8 until 9 a.m. followed by Prayers of Transfer at 9:15 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery. Full military rites will be accorded at graveside by AMVETS Post 103. The family requests donations to be made to Lafayette Manor Nursing Home-Activities, Lafayette Manor, 147 Lafayette St., Uniontown, PA 15401 or Amedisys Hospice, 1368 Mall Run Road Suite 624, Uniontown, PA or a charity of your choice.
