Phillip M. Jones
Passed: Thursday July 26, 2018

Phillip M. Jones, age 77, of Hopwood, PA, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his home with his loving family with him. He was born in Uniontown, PA on December 10, 1940 son of the late Frank W. Jones and Sara Francis Hibbs and late step father Dr. John B. Hibbs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Lucas. Phillip was a 1958 graduate of Uniontown High School. He attended Bethany College. He served in the United States Army Reserves. Phillip was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post #103 of Hopwood. He was the third generation proprietor of Francis Market in downtown Uniontown which was established in 1906. He worked for the Fayette County Housing Authority as Housing Administrator for the past 18 years. Phillip was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed basketball, tennis and speed walking, he also enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends and family. He loved the ocean but especially vacationing in the Caribbean. He always cherished spending time with his family. Left to cherish Phillip’s memory are his devoted wife Diane Jones; sons, Bruce Jones and fiancee’, Maria Canora of Middletown, MD, Sam Franks of Pittsburgh, PA and Joshua Jones and wife Erica of Uniontown, PA; daughter, Jennifer Falcinelli and husband David of Middletown, MD. Grandchildren, Jake Jones, Ben Jones, Shane Falcinelli, Justin Falcinelli, Evan Falcinelli, Scarlett Franks, Alina Jones and Peyton Jones. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where the family will receive friends on Monday, July 30th from 5 until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue in Asbury United Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 31st from 10 until 11 a.m. followed by a service celebrating Phillip’s life at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
