Michael J. Tobak, Jr.
Passed: Monday August 6, 2018

Michael Joseph Tobak, Jr., age 75, Uniontown, PA, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in Uniontown, PA on June 11, 1943, son of the late Michael J. Tobak, Sr. and Lillian Gilbert Tobak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Tobak. Mike was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. He was a 1961 graduate of North Union High School and served in the United States Army Reserve. He was retired from Labor Union Local 286 and also did masonry work independently. Mike was also an avid cyclist and hiker, enjoying with his wife Rose all that the Laurel Highlands trails had to offer at every opportunity. Mike will be missed very much. He made us cry from laughter, made us laugh when we were crying, was strong when we weren’t, and was generous to a fault. Left to cherish Mike’s memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Rose Marie Ritz Tobak; sons, Michael J. Tobak, III and wife Kimberly of Naperville, IL and Jeffrey A. Tobak and wife Dana of London, UK; brothers, David Tobak of Uniontown, PA and Stephen Tobak and wife Leslie of Uniontown, PA; sisters, Judith Leeper of Lorraine, OH and Marion Tobak of Uniontown, PA; grandchildren, Mitch Tobak, Grant Tobak, Eva Tobak, Isabella Tobak and Elliana Tobak, and many loving nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where the family will receive family and friends on Friday, August 10th from 4 until 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday August 11th from 9 until 10 a.m. followed by a blessing service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Lung Association. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family at adferguson.com or on the funeral home Facebook page.
