Lois Jane Schollaert
Passed: Friday November 16, 2018

Lois Jane Braddock Schollaert, age 84 of Chalk Hill, PA and formerly of Uniontown, PA passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa in Shadyside Hospital on August 25, 1934 daughter of the late Robert J. Braddock and Esther K. Braddock and was raised in the Dormont and Mt. Lebanon communities. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James P. Schollaert on May 29, 2001. Lois was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School class of 1952. She graduated from Muskingum College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics. She worked as a Home Economist for Columbia Gas for 3 years and as a substitute teacher for 5 years. Lois was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church and was an active member of the Bible Class for many years. She was a member of the Fayette County Home Economics Association, AMRPH Chaplain and board member. She also enjoyed the Bible Study Ladies group at Deer Lake, where she resided. She enjoyed bowling at Manor Lanes, sewing, baking, ice skating, traveling, playing the piano, baking, painting and attending church with her friends. Lois shared a love of Boston Terrier’s as well. Left to cherish Lois’ memory are her children, Randy Lee Schollaert and wife Ronda of Charleroi, PA, Cindy Beth McMahon and husband Wade of Smithfield, PA, and Richard James Schollaert of Connellsville, PA; sister, Karen Braddock of Issaquah, WA; grandchildren, Brandon W. McMahon of Morgantown, WV, Shelby L. Melan and husband Garet of Morgantown, WV, Meagan N. McMahon of Smithfield, Nathan S. Schollaert of Charleroi, PA Jennifer A. Laskosky and husband Alan of Canonsburg, PA and Aubrey L. Tokar of Canonsburg, PA. Lois had 3 great grandchildren, Madalynn N. Morris, and Cayden and Chloe Laskosky all of Canonsburg, PA Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where the family will receive friends on Friday, November 23rd from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10-11 A.M.
