Ruth Z. Ainsley
Passed: Monday May 6, 2013

Ruth Z. , age 94, of Masontown, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 in Uniontown Hospital. She was born October 31, 1918 in Masontown, PA daughter of the late John W. DeBolt and Zetta C. Deffenbaugh DeBolt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George I. Ainsley in 1976, brothers, Edgar C.DeBolt, Chester R. DeBolt, Lester C. DeBolt, John Galen DeBolt and Christian W. DeBolt and sisters, Marie C. DeBolt and Edith M. (DeBolt) Honsaker. Ruth was a great mom and grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and baker. The pie crust she made was to die for. She was a member of Uniontown Church of the Brethren where she served as Jr. High School Sunday School Class teacher, sang in the church choir and was member of the church board. Ruth believed and lived a life as a good Christian Lady. She always supported the church through her church work and giving generously. She completed 12 years of school and graduated in 1936 from Masontown High School. She had previously been employed at Gerard’s Cleaners. She was a member of the Westover Tennis Club in Morgantown, West Virginia and a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Bowling League at the Klondike Bowling Lanes, Masontown, PA. It will be a great disappointment if there isn’t any grass to mow in Heaven. She was Yard of the Month winner in Kent, Ohio for the most beautiful yard. Ruth is survived by sons, Gary K. Ainsley and wife Joanne of Charleroi, PA, Wayne Ainsley and wife Patricia of Browns Mills, NJ and Rodney Ainsley of Masontown, PA; grandchildren, Sheri and Eric Gottheld, Heather Kerr and husband Jesse, Scott Ainsley and Lee Ainsley and great grandson, Justin Gottheld. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2 until 4:00 PM and 6 until 8.:00 PM. Visitation will continue in the Uniontown Church of the Brethren on Thursday, May 9th from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. A service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Vincent Cable officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Masontown, PA Uniontown Church of the Brethren Deacon service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
