Susannna M. Bradley Tuning
Passed: Saturday June 28, 2014

Susannna M. Bradley Tuning, 97 years of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born December 27, 1916 in Waynesburg, PA daughter of Patrick Bradley and Daisy Berdine Bradley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Tuning in 2007; brothers, Francis, Paul, John, Robert, Patrick and James Bradley and sisters, Mary Bradley, Elizabeth Bradely Josephine McGreevay, Mary Funk and Patricia Funari. Sue’s experience from the age of five through fifteen on a farm near Connellsville shaped her love of family life, of nature and gardening. She was a 1934 graduate of St. John’s High School. She was a member of St. John’s the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers, Jefferson Club, Past President of the Uniontown Hospital Auxiliary and Past Chairperson of the Hospital Ball, Uniontown Country Club, Phi Beta Kappa and was an avid bridge player, golfer, gardener and Steeler fan. Left to cherish Sue’s memory are her three children, Kay King of Eugene, OR, Patricia Georgiana of Uniontown and Fredrick J. Tuning and wife Paulie of South Park, PA; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Her kindness, humor and idealism survive in those who love her. The family would like extend a special thank you to Sue’s loyal care givers, Jan Downs, Carol Ludwig and Bonnie Nesser. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA, where family and friends may call on Tuesday from 2 until 4 pm and 7 until 9 pm and Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 9 until 9:30 am followed by a mass celebrating Sue’s life at 10:00 am in the St. John’s the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. James Tringhese as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at adferguson.com.
