Charlotte Elaine Bierer Frankhouser, affectionately known as Elaine “Tot”, age 94, of Beaver, PA, formerly of Uniontown, PA and Upper St. Clair, PA, passed away surrounded by her loving family.  She was born April 2, 1930 in Uniontown, PA daughter of the late Lindsey Bierer, Sr. and Pearl Kramer Bierer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin H. Frankhouser, Sr.; son, Dr. Darwin H. Frankhouser, Jr. and brothers, Lindsey Bierer, Jr., Jeffrey Bierer and Alan Bierer.

Elaine was a 1947 graduate of South Union High School and served as class vice president.  She was a former member of Great Bethel Baptist Church.  Elaine was formerly employed at the Uniontown Herald Standard newspaper.  She was a member of Uniontown Chapter #263 Order of Eastern Star.  Elaine’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Left to cherish Elaine’s memory are her daughter, Susan Herald (Geoffrey) of Beaver, PA; grandchildren, Lisa Anne Coon (Charles), Dr. Ryan Herald, Laura Herald and Sharon Wotring (Zach) and four great grandchildren, Harrison and Lillian Coon and Ryker and Hadley Wotring.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA.  In accordance with Elaine’s wishes, services will be private for the family.
