Debra A. “Debbie” Meegan

Debra A. “Debbie” Meegan, age 66, of Lemont Furnace, PA, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024.  She was born October 23, 1958 in Connellsville, PA daughter of the late James L. Meegan and Elizabeth Ann Zammarelli Meegan.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James L. Meegan, Jr.

 

Debbie was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School.  She worked for many years at Ames Department Store.  Debbie was a member of St Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

 

Heavenly Father, during this moment of transition, we offer heartfelt prayers for Debbie, honoring her resilience and courage throughout life’s journey. Her unwavering spirit and enduring faith have left an indelible legacy of love and inspiration. May angels guide her with gentle wings to the heavenly realm, where eternal peace and serenity await her.

 

Reunited with her beloved brother James, may she also find solace in reuniting with her father James and mother Elizabeth Zamarelli-Meegan, embraced by eternal love. As she prepares to reunite with loved ones, Debbie is survived by her son Mark, who is alive and well, cherishing their shared memories, and three adoring grandchildren.  We extend gratitude to Bella Healthcare for their unwavering care and compassion.

 

Debbie’s impact on many lives, from sorority sisters to the Laurel Highlands school district and her 20 year tenure at Ames, reflects her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and grace.

As Debbie transitions to her eternal journey, may she be enveloped in comfort, peace, and the loving embrace of divine grace.

 

Surrounded by love, prayers, and well wishes, Debbie embarks on her final journey knowing she is cherished immensely. May she find everlasting peace in the arms of the Divine.

Left to cherish Debbie’s memory are her son, Mark Meegan, grandchildren, Xavier Meegan, Marques Meegan and Sarah Meegan and nephew, James Meegan, III and wife Jennifer and their children, Kaiden, Kylo, Jaxon, Leah and Lexi.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA, where visitation will be held Thursday, February 29th from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Friday from 9 until 10 a.m. followed by a Blessing Service celebrating Debbie’s life at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
