James W. Perkins, age 70, of Uniontown, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024. He was born May 12, 1953 in Uniontown, PA son of the late Martin H. Perkins and Audrey Burkholder Perkins.
James was a 1973 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School. He was a member of Abundant Life Church. James formerly worked in construction for Kelly Construction Co. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing music and camping.
Left to cherish James’ memory are his wife, Cynthia Hays Perkins of Uniontown; son, Joseph Perkins and wife Nancy Hall Perkins of Charlotte, NC; step children, Ed Loukota and wife Marjorie DeCarlo Loukota and Katrina (Joy) Loukota Bloom all of Uniontown; sisters, Audrey Jean Perkins Crawford and husband James, Betty Perkins Anielski and Judy Perkins Collins; grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA. Family and friends will be received in Abundant Life Church on Friday, May 3rd from 2 until 4 p.m. followed by a service celebrating James’ life at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Garret Howard officiating. Interment will be private for family.
