Jill D. Hasson Keefer, age 78, of Uniontown, PA, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in Lafayette Manor. She was born March 11, 1947 in Finlay, OH, daughter of the late Russel W. Hasson and Ruth L. Williamson Hasson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Beth Myers; a son, James William Myer and a sister, Pat Hasson.
Jill was a 1965 graduate of South Union High School, received her BS degree in Education from California State College and a Masters degree in Reading from Penn State University. She taught for twenty-five years in the Keystone Central School District. She was a member of the N.E.A., P.S.E.A. and the Great Bethel Baptist Church. Jill enjoyed hosting friends and family, motorcycle rides, camping in Idaho and teaching Sunday School. Jill loved country music and dogs.
Left to cherish Jill’s memory are sisters, Jane Biller of Uniontown, Mary Larkin of Hopwood, Pam Lechnar and husband Dr. Michal Lechnar of Selkirk, NY and Jo Wellhofer and husband David Wellhofer of Wharton TX; caregiver and friend, Patty Swaney and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, 80 MORGANTOWN ST., UNIONTOWN, PA. Per the family’s wishes the service will be private.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lafayette Manor and Dr. Conley and his staff for their excellent care of Jill.
