It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathryn Greenwood Hiles-Furlong, a loving Mom, wife and Mum. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the age of 73.
Kathryn was known for her love of her family, kindness, warmth and unwavering support. Kathryn always put others first.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Edward Furlong, her loving daughter and son-in-law (who she loved as her own son), Lori Ann and Craig Bowers of Uniontown and her two grandsons whom she loved fiercely, Daniel Craig Bowers of Uniontown and Douglas Carl Bowers (Deanna Gray) of Uniontown. She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters, Thomas Greenwood (Ethel) of Smithfield, George Greenwood (Cathy) of Uniontown, Joan Winklevoss (Alvin) of Smithfield, Dorothy Butler Lewis and Charlotte Barton of Saxonburg, PA; her beloved dogs and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathryn was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary Medved Greenwood, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Salanick (Nick) and Nellie Hopwood (Stanley).
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. Honoring Kathryn’s wishes there will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kathryn may be made to They Deserve Better Dog Rescue, 1461 Georges-Fairchance Road, Smithfield, PA 15478.
