Thomas J. Andrus, Jr.., age 79, of Uniontown, PA, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 in his home. He was born July 20, 1945 in Uniontown, PA, son of the late Thomas J. Andrus, Sr. and Margaret Stanislaw Andrus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carla Kushore.
Thomas was a graduate of Uniontown High School. He was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church. He worked as an overnight supervisor at Nemacolin Woodlands. Thomas served in the United States Army. He loved food, reading the bible, his church and donating to nonprofits. Thomas was an avid Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan.
Left to cherish Thomas’ memory are his wife Tanya Mills Andrus of Uniontown; son, Thomas J. Andrus, III of Philadelphia; daughter, Tabitha of Virginia; mother-in-law, Linda Mills-Sims of Uniontown and step daughter, Jessica Seisay of Charlotte, NC and many other family members.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. The family will receive friends in St. Paul A. M. E. Church on Saturday, March 15th from 2 until 4 p.m. followed by a service celebrating Thomas’ life at 4:00 PM with Pastor Alfred J. Thompson officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by AMVETS Post #103 of Hopwood. Interment will be private will be in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
